Available on PRINT ON DEMAND.
This book, one of the same author’s four in his Regional Election Studies Series, captures the peculiarities and contributions
of the Ashanti and Volta Regions to the electoral politics in Ghana from 1951 to 2012. The work covers, in a comprehensive yet
succinct manner, two regions which in the Nkrumah years (1951-1966) were united in their opposition to the Convention
People’s Party (CPP) but have since parted company, and in the Fourth Republic, assumed the status of the strongholds of the
two dominant parties New Patriotic Party (NPP) and National Democratic Congress (NDC) respectively.
